4-H Advisory Committee Presents Fair Fest 2009

Fair fest will be held again this year in the Jr. Fair building on Saturday, Sunday and Monday during fair. Flockmasters Sheep Clinic

Saturday, July 11th at the Great Geauga County Fairgrounds Small Grandstand from 9am - 12pm the Flockmasters 4-H club will be sponsoring a FREE Sheep Clinic open to everyone who wants to learn more about how to properly care for sheep. Do you want to learn more about Shearing, Hoof Trimming, Showmanship and Skillathon Practice. Register by July 1, 2009 so that you can receive 2 tickets to enter in the door prize drawing. Those who show up on the day of the clinic will only get 1 ticket. Fill out the Registration Form or for more information please email mmadeleine.ray@gmail.com or call 440-285-7063.

Poultry Clinic

August 5, 2009 - All Poultry 4-H Clubs are invited to the Annual Poultry Clinic - Certified Poultry Judge Larry Lokai will talk about poultry showmanship and raising all chicken, duck and turkey projects. Come and join us on August 5, 2009 beginning at 6:30pm at the Jr. Fair Pavilion by the milkshake booth on the Geauga County Fairgrounds in Burton, OH. Geauga 4-H Camp Information

Join Us at Geauga County 4-H Camp - July 12-18, 2009 - A week filled with new friends, adventures and good times. Ages 8 - 14. You will enjoy swimming, boating, crafts, conservation, recreation and shooting sports. There are lots of fun activities like songs, games, and campfires. Flyer - Send a completed registration form and minimum payment of $65.00 by June 12, 2009 payable to OSU Extension, P.O. Box 387, Burton, OH 44021. Registration Form - Balance of $160.00 will be due by June 30, 2009.

Scholarships up to $160, sponsored by the Geauga 4-H Advisory Committe, are available for Geauga residents. Scholarship applications are due by May 29, 2009.

"New Leadership Camp"

August 2 - 8, 2009 - A camp for young leaders to learn, share and practice leadership while enjoying all the traditions of camp. Anyone 13 - 18 years old with an interest in leadership. The camp is being held at Camp Whitewood and the cost is $225.00. 4-H Advisory Committee is offering scholarships for those who would like to attend from Geauga County. Scholarship Applications are due by July 1, 2009 at the Extension Office.
