March In Prune Out

Saturday, March 25, 2017 - 8:30am to 12:00pm

Are you confused about how or where to begin pruning your fruit trees or berry bushes?  Are your grapes, brambles, or apple trees getting out of control?   We have a solution to your problem - learn how to prune in someone else’s orchard!

On Saturday, March 25, 2017, the Geauga County Ohio State University Extension and Sage’s Apples will hold a hands-on pruning school, “March In And Prune Out” at Sage’s Apples, 11355 Chardon Road (Route 6) in Chardon, Ohio.  Registration starts at 8:30 am and the class begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at noon.  During this time, you will learn how to prune peaches, apples, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and grapes.  Remember to bring your pruners and dress for the weather.

There is a registration fee of $20 per person or couple and includes refreshments, handouts, and half peck of apples.  The fee, payable to OSU Extension, can be mailed to OSU Extension, P.O. Box 387, Burton, Ohio 44021 or payable at the door.
